Be Patient

Be patient, love the questions, Rilke admonishes the young poet. The answeers will come. I discarded the impatience of the young, yet I still seek answers to the why of my choices over the years, the less-travelled path that I was sure would bring the fulfillment I so desired. I sit with these questions and live them patiently into the answers. The heart must make its own next to receive this promise of new life that even at this advanced age I can mother into newness.  I don't believe the years of creativity are over.  It is always the time for new life.  Earth mother never tires of spring, never tires of fulfilling the seed's promise.

I must not either.
